Job summary

First Citizens Bank is seeking a Patch Engineer to lead enterprise-wide patch management, vulnerability remediation, and compliance initiatives across Windows endpoints.

This remote role is limited to AZ, FL, GA, NC, and TX; the candidate will automate patching using PowerShell, BigFix, MEMCM, and Qualys, and collaborate with IT security, infrastructure, and operations teams to maintain uptime and compliance.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of patch management, remediation, and compliance experience.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 10/11 patching and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in BigFix endpoint management and compliance reporting.
• Experience with WSUS and BigFix for patch approval and deployment.
• Familiarity with third-party patching tools and IT security standards.
• Proficient in PowerShell scripting for automation and administration.
• Excellent problem-solving and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Strategy development for patch management policies across Windows endpoints.
• Assess vulnerabilities, determine patch criticality and impact.
• Design and execute tests for patches in controlled environments.
• Plan and execute patch rollout across Windows 10/11 fleet.
• Remediate vulnerabilities to ensure compliance and security.
• Troubleshoot failed patch installations and related issues.
• Develop scripts and leverage automation tools to streamline patching.
• Monitor patch compliance metrics and report on status.
• Collaborate with IT security, Infrastructure, and OEMs.
• Document procedures, troubleshooting steps, and knowledge bases.
