SMX is seeking a people-oriented, detail-driven part-time Junior Project Analyst to support a GSA AAS professional services contract. This role centers on Travel Authorization Requests (TARs) and Requests to Initiate Purchase (RIPs), serving as a coordination bridge between portfolio leadership, subcontractors, and government representatives.

This remote position requires a high school diploma with 2+ years in admin or project support, and active pursuit of a business degree.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required with 2+ years of admin or project support experience.
• Active pursuit of a US-accredited business degree is expected.
• Eligibility for US government security clearance is required.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills for remote coordination.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and Word for trackers and docs.

Responsibilities

• Support TARs and RIPs initiation, tracking, and documentation.
• Coordinate with project staff, subcontractors, and internal teams.
• Communicate approval statuses, constraints, and next steps.
• Maintain trackers, logs, and shared documentation repositories.
• Support weekly and monthly project reporting.
• Identify process improvements and escalate issues.
