Job summary

Balco, Inc. is seeking a dynamic outside sales professional for our architectural product line. You will prospect, engage specialty contractors, and close deals while expanding wallet share across multiple product categories.

You will travel regionally, demonstrate Balco products, and build enduring relationships with key accounts, distributors, and the design community. A strong background in construction materials and CRM proficiency is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or related field preferred.
• B2B outside sales experience in construction/architectural design.
• Proven track record of meeting/exceeding sales quotas via relationship-building and consultative selling.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials and project lifecycles.
• Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills for face-to-face interactions.
• Proficiency in CRM software, Microsoft Office, and sales reporting tools.

Responsibilities

• Conduct outside sales activities to achieve regional sales targets, prospect and close deals with new customers across our architectural product line.
• Identify and engage specialty contractors, demonstrating how Balco products outperform competitors and facilitate product switches through consultations and demonstrations.
• Expand wallet share of existing customers to multiple product categories and solutions.
• Build and nurture strong relationships with key accounts, distributors, contractors and the design community via in-person meetings and site visits.
• Perform product demonstrations and provide technical education on joint solutions and architectural offerings to address design requirements.
• Travel regionally (up to 50% or more) to meet clients, attend trade shows, dealer meetings, and industry events to generate leads.
• Collaborate with internal teams to develop customized proposals, negotiate pricing and terms, and ensure seamless order fulfillment.
• Track and report sales performance, market trends, and competitive activities using CRM tools; prepare weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports.
• Identify new business opportunities by analyzing local market conditions and stakeholder trends to secure new customers.
