Job summary

Vail Health is seeking an experienced scheduling professional to manage outpatient imaging and cardiopulmonary procedure appointments. You will verify demographics, insurance data and orders, and create complete Pre-Registration records for each visit.

Role requires strong communication, accurate data entry, and adherence to HIPAA. The position may involve coordinating with clinicians and staff to ensure timely care for patients in a supportive, patient‑centered environment.

Qualifications

• Previous admitting or clerical experience preferred.
• Working knowledge of medical terminology preferred.
• Must possess basic computer skills and typing ability.
• Must have working knowledge of the English language.

Responsibilities

• Accurate and timely scheduling of Outpatient Imaging and Cardiopulmonary procedures.
• Answer incoming phone calls, take messages, prioritize and redirect as needed.
• Obtain complete orders, verify demographics and insurance, ensure medical necessity.
• Create Pre-Registration accounts for scheduled appointments.
• Use scheduling request lists to contact patients and document attempts.
• Provide patients with preparation instructions, directions, and check-in times.
• Coordinate with staff to maintain seamless scheduling when away.
• Demonstrate strong communication and phone etiquette.
• Uphold Just Culture and organizational values.
• Perform additional duties as assigned; HIPAA compliant.
