Remote Co. is seeking a Health Information Management Outpatient Coding Supervisor to lead a team of coders and support staff in a fully remote capacity. You will analyze documentation, guide correct code assignments, and ensure compliance with coding standards and regulatory requirements.

The role requires a university degree, 5+ years in outpatient coding, and active credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS or CPC). Leadership experience and familiarity with systems like EPIC, Cerner, Solventum, or PwC

Qualifications

• Requires a University Degree and minimum 5 years of experience in health information management or related fields.
• Certified credentials: RHIA, RHIT, CCS or CPC.
• Senior outpatient coding background including E/M charging and data management experience.

Responsibilities

• Assists coders and documentation staff with complex cases by analyzing documentation and discussing code assignments.
• Reviews medical records flagged for coding errors and education opportunities.
• Acts as a technical resource for department manager, physicians, and external customers on coding standards and regulatory requirements.
• Performs other duties as assigned by management.
