Qualifications

• Five (5) years of medical coding experience required.
• 10 years preferred.
• Associates or Bachelors degree preferred.
• Certified CPC or COC certification.
• Knowledge of hospital outpatient coding and professional coding.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office.
• Remote work is 100% of the time.

Responsibilities

• Direct Coding Responsibilities: Abstract clinical information and translate docs into ICD-10, CPT/HCPCS, and modifiers.
• Ensure accurate, timely coding for billing, reporting, and regulatory compliance.
• Monitor productivity and coding accuracy; supervise coding specialists with manager support.
• Lead staff training, audits, and monthly/quarterly reviews with the coding team.
• Coordinate staff development and ensure adherence to turnaround times.
