Job summary

Ensource is seeking a remote Medical Coder in the United States. You will review hospital records, assign ICD-10-CM codes according to guidelines, and collaborate with outpatient coders and managers to meet client needs.

The role requires CCS/CPC/RHIA/RHIT credentials and 3+ years facility coding experience, with reliable internet and Epic experience being a plus. Remote work balance and growth opportunities are emphasized.

Qualifications

• Current CCS, RHIA, RHIT through AHIMA or CPC through AAPC coding credentials are required.
• 3 or more years of relevant facility coding experience.
• Access to reliable high-speed internet and workstation.
• Epic experience is a plus.
• Candidates must reside within the United States.

Responsibilities

• Review hospital medical records and properly assign ICD-10-CM diagnoses according to Official Coding Guidelines for OP/Ancillary encounters including Lab, Radiology (CT, MRI, PET, Ultrasound, Mammograms, Cardiovascular, Respiratory, Neurodiagnostic, Pain Management, Wound Care, OB Assessments)
• Meet or exceed high quality and productivity standards, to provide exceptional coding services to our clients
• Communicate and collaborate with outpatient coders and managers to address the dynamic needs of our clients
• Keep active coding certifications and complete continuing education to maintain expertise
