Job summary

Datavant is hiring a remote Outpatient Coder with 2+ years of hospital coding experience. CCS or CPC/H/CIC credentials required, Epic and 3M experience preferred. You will review records, assign diagnoses and procedures, and ensure accurate APCs with strong attention to HIPAA compliance.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of coding experience in hospital or coding consulting.
• Strong knowledge of medical terminology and E/M guidelines.
• Excellent written and verbal communication; good time management.

Responsibilities

• Review records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence codes based on documentation and assign discharge dispositions.
• Maintain coding accuracy and meet productivity standards.

Education

AHIMA/CPC certifications (RHIA/RHIT/CCS or CPC/CPC-H/COC/CIC/CRC)
