Datavant is seeking an experienced outpatient coder for a fully remote, PRN role. The candidate should have 2+ years of hospital coding experience, CCS/CPC or RHIA/RHIT credentials, and proficiency with Epic and Clintegrity. Strong attention to detail and communication skills are essential.

Qualifications

• 2+ years hospital coding experience; AHIMA or AAPC credentials preferred.
• Remote work capability with strong time management.
• Maintain high coding accuracy and APC assignments.

Responsibilities

• Review records and assign codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence codes based on documentation and discharge disposition.
• Abstract data for hospital statistics and reporting.
• Communicate coding issues for follow-up and resolution.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and productivity standards.
• Track continuing education credits and attend trainings.
