Datavant is hiring a remote outpatient coder (PRN) with 3+ years of outpatient coding experience, CCS or similar credentials required. The role supports ED, I&I, and facility coding with Epic/Clintegrity experience, and includes ongoing education and performance expectations.

Qualifications

• 2+ years coding in hospital or consulting setting.
• Experience with ED, I&I, and E/M leveling strongly preferred.
• CCS or RHIA/RHIT or CPC/CPC-H credentials required.

Responsibilities

• Review records and assign codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence codes accurately per documentation.
• Determine discharge disposition where applicable.
• Abstract and enter data for reporting requirements.
• Communicate coding issues for follow-up and resolution.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and APC assignment accuracy.
• Track continuing education credits to maintain credentials.
• Attend Datavant health education sessions.
