Job summary

Datavant is seeking an experienced outpatient coder to join our remote team. The role focuses on ED, I&I, procedures, modifiers, and facility leveling coding with a CCS/CPC/ RHIA/RHIT credentials requirement.

The position offers flexible scheduling and is remote, enabling work from anywhere with strong documentation and coding accuracy. Ideal candidates have 2+ years of hospital coding experience, proficiency with Epic/Clintegrity, and excellent written and verbal communication.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of coding experience in a hospital and/or coding consulting role.
• AHIMA/ AAPC credentials required or equivalent.
• Proficiency with Epic and Clintegrity is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence codes based on documentation.
• Assign discharge dispositions.
• Abstract and enter coded data for hospital statistics and reporting.
