Job summary

Datavant is seeking an experienced outpatient coder to join our remote team. The role requires CCS/CPC or RHIA/RHIT credentials and 2+ years of hospital coding experience, with proficiency in ED, E/M leveling, and related specialties. Epic and Clintegrity experience strongly preferred.

• AHIMA or AAPC credential required.
• 2+ years of coding experience in hospital and/or coding consulting roles.
• Proficiency with Emergency Department, Injections/Infusions, E/M leveling, and related coding specialties.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign and sequence codes based on documentation.
• Enter coded data for hospital statistical and reporting needs.
• Maintain accuracy rates and productivity standards.
