Qualifications

• AHIMA RHIA/RHIT/ CCS or AAPC CPC/CPC-H/COC/CIC/CRC credentials required.
• Minimum 2+ years hospital coding or coding consulting experience.
• Proficiency in Same Day Surgery, Observation, Injections/Infusions and E/M coding.
• Strong written and verbal communication; remote work capable.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate diagnoses and procedure codes.
• Sequence codes correctly based on documentation and policy.
• Maintain coding accuracy and APC assignment rates per site standards.
• Abstract data for hospital statistics and regulatory reporting.
