Datavant, the data collaboration platform for healthcare, seeks an experienced outpatient coder for a fully remote role with a flexible schedule. You will review records, assign diagnoses and procedures, and ensure coding accuracy while maintaining HIPAA standards.

Ideal candidates have AHIMA or AAPC credentials, 2+ years hospital coding experience, and proficiency in Same Day Surgery, Observation, and Injections/Infusions. We offer comprehensive benefits and ongoing training.

Formación

• 2+ years coding experience in hospital or coding consulting role.
• Proficiency with Same Day Surgery, Observation, Injections/Infusions.
• Experience with Ancillary, Emergency Department, E/M leveling and related coding.

Responsabilidades

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign and sequence codes based on documentation and coding guidelines.
• Assign the appropriate discharge disposition.
• Abstract and enter coded data for hospital statistics and reporting.
• Communicate documentation improvement opportunities to relevant staff.
• Maintain high coding accuracy and meet productivity standards.
• Track continuing education credits to maintain credentials.
• Participate in Datavant Health sponsored meetings and trainings.
• Work professionally with management, staff, and clinicians.

Conocimientos

2+ years hospital coding experience

Strong written and verbalcommunication

Educación

AHIMA credentials (RHIA, RHIT, CCS)

AAPC credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC, CRC)
