Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced outpatient coders to join our remote team. The ideal candidate will have 2+ years of hospital coding experience, with strong Interventional Radiology expertise and CPT validation for precertification. EPIC and 3M/Solventum experience is required, with CIRCC/RCCIR credentials a plus.

Qualifications

• AHIMA credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS) or AAPC credentials (CPC, CPC-H, COC, CIC or CRC)
• Experience in Interventional Radiology
• 2+ years of coding experience in hospital/consulting role
• Proficiency in codes for Same Day Surgery, Observation, Injections/Infusions
• Experience with Interventional Radiology documentation and CPT validation

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign and sequence codes based on documentation.
• Determine discharge dispositions.
• Abstract and enter coded data for hospital statistics and reporting.
• Communicate coding issues and improvement opportunities to team.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and APC assignment accuracy; meet productivity standards.
• Track continuing education credits for credentials.
• Attend Datavant Health sponsored education meetings.
