Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced outpatient coders for a fully remote role, specializing in Surgery and Observation coding with 3+ years of experience. Prior precertification, CPT validation, and EPIC/3M Solventum expertise are required.

Interventional radiology experience and CIRCC/RCCIR credentials are a plus. The position offers full-time hours with a flexible schedule and a sign-on bonus of $3000 for full-time and $1500 for PRN.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credentials required.
• 2+ years of coding experience in a hospital and/or coding consulting role.
• Experience in Interventional Radiology and Surgical coding (Same Day Surgery, Observation).
• Proficiency with CPT/HCPCS and precertification reviews.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign and sequence codes based on documentation.
• Abstract and enter coded data for hospital statistics and reporting.
• Maintain at least 95% accuracy in coding and APC assignment.
