Datavant is seeking experienced outpatient coders for remote work with 3+ years of experience in CPT validation for precertification and same-day/outpatient procedures. Expertise in Interventional Radiology and accuracy in APCs is required.

The role is fully remote with a flexible schedule, offering sign-on bonuses for FT and PRN positions. Ideal candidates will have EPIC and 3M/Solventum experience, strong documentation skills, and the ability to communicate clearly with teams.

Qualifikationen

• High attention to detail and deep medical terminology knowledge.
• Experience working in remote roles and managing time effectively.
• AHIMA RHIA/RHIT/CCS or AAPC CPC/CPC-H/COC/CIC/CRC credentials are required.
• Experience in Interventional Radiology is required.
• 2+ years of hospital coding or coding consulting experience.

Aufgaben

• Review medical records and assign diagnoses and procedures codes.
• Assign and sequence codes based on documentation.
• Determine discharge dispositions and abstract data for reporting.
• Communicate coding issues and improvement opportunities to relevant teams.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and APC-landing accuracy; meet productivity standards.
• Track continuing education credits to maintain credentials and participate in trainings.
• Attend Datavant Health sponsored education meetings.
• Demonstrate initiative and professional judgment in duties.
• Communicate with staff regarding clinical and reimbursement issues.
• Adhere to AHIMA code of ethics and maintain professional standards.
