Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced outpatient coders with 3+ years of coding background to join a fully remote team. The role focuses on same-day/outpatient procedures across diverse specialties, including interventional radiology.

Strong EPIC and 3M/Solventum experience is required, with a preference for CIRCC/RCCIR credentials. You will review records, assign diagnoses/procedures, validate CPTs for precertification, and ensure accurate APC and coding accuracy while meeting productivity targets.

Qualifications

• AHIMA credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS) or AAPC credentials (CPC/CPC-H/COC/CIC/CRC).
• Experience in Interventional Radiology required.
• 2+ years of coding experience in hospital or coding consulting role.
• Proficiency with main coding specialties (Same Day Surgery, Observation, Injections/Infusions).

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence codes based on documentation and assign discharge dispositions.
• Abstract and enter coded data for hospital statistics and reporting.
