Datavant is seeking experienced outpatient coders for a fully remote role. You will review medical records, assign diagnoses and procedures, and ensure coding accuracy with AHIMA/AAPC credentials. The position emphasizes high-quality, HIPAA-compliant work from a home office.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credentials required.
• 3+ years of hospital coding experience.
• Proficiency in outpatient coding specialties (Same Day Surgery, Observation, Injections/Infusions).
• Experience with E/M leveling and ancillary coding.
• Strong written and verbal communication, and ability to work remotely.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence codes based on documentation.
• Enter coded data for hospital reporting.
• Maintain high accuracy in APC assignment and coding performance.
