The position emphasizes HIPAA compliance and ongoing credential maintenance. Ideal candidates hold AHIMA or AAPC credentials and have 2+ years of hospital or outpatient coding experience, with strong communication and time-management skills for a remote work

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credentials (RHIA/RHIT/CCS or CPC/CPC-H/COC/CIC/CRC).
• 2+ years of hospital/outpatient coding experience.

Responsibilities

• Review records and assign accurate diagnoses/procedures codes.
• Maintain 95% coding accuracy and APC assignment accuracy.
• Abstract and enter coded data for reporting requirements.
• Communicate coding issues and improvement opportunities.
