Datavant is seeking experienced outpatient and observation coders to join our remote team. You will validate CPT codes for precertification of same-day procedures across specialties, with emphasis on interventional radiology and EPIC systems.

A strong attention to detail and adherence to HIPAA are essential. We offer full-time and PRN roles with sign-on bonuses, flexible scheduling, and ongoing education opportunities.

Qualifikationen

• 2+ years of hospital coding experience; remote work accepted.
• AHIMA or AAPC credentials required or in progress.
• Experience in Interventional Radiology coding strongly preferred.
• Proficiency with EPIC and 3M/Solventum systems.
• Ability to pass annual HIPAA exam and stay compliant.
• Strong attention to detail and time management.

Aufgaben

• Review medical records and assign accurate diagnoses codes.
• Review procedures and assign CPT codes for billing.
• Determine discharge dispositions from records.
• Abstract data for hospital statistics and reporting.
• Identify documentation improvements and coding issues.
• Maintain coding accuracy rate around 95%.
• Meet site productivity standards and APC assignment accuracy.
• Track continuing education credits for credentials.
• Participate in Datavant Health education sessions.
• Communicate effectively with staff and management.
• Work professionally and maintain patient confidentiality.
• Adhere to AHIMA code of ethics and company policies.
