Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced outpatient coders to join our fully remote team. The role focuses on Surgery and Observation coding with 3+ years of experience and CPT validation for precertification of same-day/outpatient procedures.

Experience in EPIC and 3M Solventum is required; interventional radiology experience is a plus. The ideal candidate holds AHIMA or AAPC credentials and is adept at remote communication and time management.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credentials required or in good standing.
• Experience with Interventional Radiology coding and CPT reviews.
• Proficient in EPIC and 3M Solventum for data entry and validation.
• Strong communication skills and remote-work discipline.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence codes based on documentation and compute discharge dispositions.
• Abstract coded data for hospital statistics and reporting requirements.
• Communicate coding issues for follow‑up and ensure 95% accuracy.
