Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced outpatient coders for a fully remote role, focusing on Surgery and Observation coding. Candidates should have 3+ years of experience, CPT validation for precertification, and expertise across IR specialties. Proficiency in EPIC and 3M/Solventum is required.

Qualifications

2+ years of coding experience in hospital or coding consulting role.
Experience in Interventional Radiology.
Proficiency with coding specialties (Same Day Surgery, Observation, Injections/Infusions).
Experience with EPIC and 3M/Solventum.

Responsibilities

Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
Assign and sequence codes based on documentation.
Enter coded data for hospital statistics and reporting.
Communicate coding issues to appropriate personnel for follow up.
Maintain high coding accuracy and productivity standards.
Track continuing education credits to maintain credentials.
Attend Datavant Health sponsored education meetings.
