Datavant is seeking an Outpatient Auditing Specialist to address coding quality, compliance assessments, external payer reviews, coding education, and coding workflow operations reviews. This role is fully remote with a flexible schedule, allowing you to help shape the future of healthcare from your own workspace!

You will audit outpatient facility records using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers, provide concise justification for changes, stay current on regulatory updates, organize multiple

Qualifications

• 5+ years outpatient facility coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS or RHIA/RHIT certification required.
• Maintain 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner, and other prevalent EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs Outpatient Facility coding audits of medical records and abstracts using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS, and modifiers and appropriate coding references for accurate coding assignment.
• Provides rationale explaining the changes with specific references and documentation locations.
• Keeps abreast of regulatory changes.
• Organizes and prioritizes multiple cases concurrently to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Provides coder education via the auditing process.
• Professional, efficient and positive conduct.
• Adhere to AHIMA’s code of ethics.
• Customer-service oriented and flexible.
