Datavant is recruiting an Outpatient Auditing Specialist to perform outpatient facility coding audits and provide actionable rationale for coding changes. This fully remote role emphasizes accuracy, regulatory awareness, and coder education.

You will work with ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers, maintain high accuracy, and collaborate across teams while adhering to AHIMA ethics and professional standards. Remote, flexible schedule, nationwide within the US.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of outpatient facility coding experience and/or auditing.
• CCS or RHIA/RHIT is required.
• Maintains 95% accuracy rate.
• Experience with Epic, Cerner and other EMRs.

Responsibilities

• Performs outpatient facility coding audits using ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS and modifiers.
• Provides rationale with references and documentation locations for changes.
• Keeps current with regulatory changes.
• Organizes multiple cases to ensure workflow and resolution.
• Delivers coder education through auditing processes.
• Adheres to AHIMA's code of ethics.
• Demonstrates professionalism, flexibility, dependability and willingness to learn.
• Exhibits strong organizational, teamwork and leadership skills.
