Datavant seeks an experienced outpatient coder for a fully remote, flexible role. You will review medical records, assign CPT/ICD codes, and support precertification reviews, with EPIC and 3M/Solventum experience preferred. The ideal candidate has 2+ years of hospital coding and AHIMA or AAPC credentials.

Qualifications

• Experience in hospital coding or coding consulting
• Strong attention to detail and medical terminology
• Excellent written and verbal communication

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate diagnoses and procedures codes
• Sequence codes based on documentation and rules
• Assign discharge dispositions and abstract data for reporting
• Maintain high coding accuracy and APC assignment accuracy and meet productivity standards
• Track continuing education credits and participate in Datavant Education meetings
