Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced outpatient coders with specialization in Surgery and Observation to join our fully remote team. The role requires 3+ years in coding, proficiency with EPIC and 3M/Solventum, and CIRCC/RCCIR credentials are a plus.

You will review medical records, code diagnoses and procedures, and ensure accurate discharge dispositions from a flexible home office. Ideal candidates have strong knowledge of medical terminology, attention to detail, and the ability to maintain

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credentials required.
• Experience in Interventional Radiology.
• 2+ years coding experience in hospital or coding consulting.

Responsibilities

• Review medical records and assign accurate codes for diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign and sequence codes based on documentation.
• Abstract and enter coded data for hospital statistics and reporting.
• Maintain high coding accuracy and meet productivity standards.
• Communicate coding issues to relevant personnel.
