Job summary

Datavant is seeking experienced outpatient coders for fully remote positions. You will review records, assign diagnoses and procedures, and ensure accurate APC coding with Epic and 3M systems. The role emphasizes compliance, accuracy, and timely submissions from a home workspace.

Ideal candidates hold AHIMA or AAPC credentials (CCS/CPC) and have 2+ years of hospital coding experience, including ED/SDS/OBS and E/M leveling, with strong communication and time management skills.

Qualifications

• AHIMA or AAPC credentials required or in progress.
• Experience with ED, SDS/OBS, and E/M leveling.
• Proficiency in Epic and 3M/Clintegrity systems.

Responsibilities

• Review records and assign accurate diagnoses and procedures.
• Sequence codes based on documentation and discharge disposition.
• Abstract and enter data for hospital reporting.
• Communicate improvement opportunities and resolve coding issues.
• Maintain high coding accuracy and productivity standards.
• Track continuing education credits and attend trainings.
