Job summary

e4health is seeking an Outpatient Coder for a PRN, remote arrangement. You will abstract data into client EMR systems following ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS guidelines, and CMS directives, while maintaining 95%+ accuracy and meeting productivity standards. Assign codes for facility-based accounts and query physicians when information is unclear.

Minimum 5 years of coding experience with AHIMA or AAPC credential required; CCS preferred. Trauma Level 1 and teaching facility experience is desired.

• Minimum 5 years’ coding experience; Trauma Level 1 and teaching facility experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assign ICD-10-CM, CPT, HCPCS codes and modifiers to facility-based accounts per workflow.
• Abstract and enter coded data and charges for reporting requirements.
• Query physicians to clarify ambiguous clinical information when appropriate.
• Communicate documentation improvement opportunities to relevant personnel.
• Coordinate with Clinical Documentation Improvement and Revenue Cycle teams for follow up.
• Maintain required productivity and quality standards.

Education
