Job summary

DaMar Staffing seeks a Senior Outpatient Surgery Coder for a full-time remote role. You will assign CPT and ICD-10-CM codes, apply modifiers, and ensure compliance with coding guidelines across outpatient procedures.

Responsibilities include analyzing documentation to support accurate coding, maintaining a coding accuracy rate of 90% and productivity of 95%, and collaborating with hospital departments to resolve billing and registration issues. Knowledge of EPIC and 3M HDM is expected.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent with formal ICD-10-CM and CPT-4 training.
• 3+ years outpatient coding experience in a facility setting, including outpatient surgical coding.
• CCS/RHIT/RHIA/CCA/CPC/COC/CIRCC certifications required or equivalent.
• Proficiency in coding and EHR software (EPIC, 3M HDM).
• Knowledge of NCCI edits, NCD & LCD requirements and payer guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assign CPT, ICD-10-CM codes and modifiers for outpatient procedures.
• Analyze outpatient documentation to ensure accurate coding and compliance.
• Maintain coding accuracy rate of 90% and productivity rate of 95%.
• Communicate with hospital departments regarding billing and registration issues; escalate as needed.
