Job summary

LifeBridge Health is seeking an experienced Outpatient Medical Coder for a fully remote role. The coder will review, code, and abstract outpatient records with ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT, supporting accurate reimbursement and compliance across ER, infusion, and other outpatient services.

The ideal candidate has 1–3 years of outpatient coding experience, strong guideline knowledge, and can work independently in a remote environment. Certifications CCS/COC/RHIA/RHIT are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or equivalent education required.
• 1–3 years of outpatient medical coding experience.
• Strong knowledge of ICD-10-CM/PCS, CPT, and outpatient coding guidelines.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to work independently in a remote environment.

Responsibilities

• Review outpatient medical records to identify documented diagnoses and procedures.
• Assign accurate ICD-10-CM/PCS and CPT codes per guidelines.
• Code and abstract a range of outpatient encounters including ER, infusion, and other services.
• Assist with emergency department coding and leveling as needed.
• Assist with coding and charging infusion cases.
• Abstract clinical and demographic information and enter into systems.
• Ensure coding accuracy, completeness, and compliance with policies and regulations.
