Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Oracle – On Prem to AWS Migration Architect for a full time remote opportunity. The Oracle DBA Lead will own the complete migration lifecycle, focusing on rehosting Oracle databases to AWS while ensuring performance, security, and operability after cutover.

Responsibilities include end-to-end migration, discovery of dependencies, environment setup on AWS EC2, and post-cutover stabilization with rapid triage as needed.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of hands-on Oracle DBA experience with production support and migration responsibilities.
• Experience migrating Oracle databases from on-prem to AWS or cloud environments; AWS rehost strongly preferred.
• Experience with Oracle RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate, RMAN, and Data Pump.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end migration of Oracle databases to AWS, primarily rehost to EC2.
• Plan cutovers, validation, rollback procedures, and post-migration stabilization.
• Configure Oracle DB environments on AWS, including network, storage, and security.
• Provide post-go-live hypercare and quick issue resolution.
