Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Oracle – On Prem to AWS Migration Architect for a full time remote opportunity. The role focuses on rehosting Oracle databases from on-premises to AWS, ensuring operational readiness, performance, security, and supportability after cutover.

You will own end-to-end migration planning, discovery, sizing, and validation, build Oracle environments on AWS EC2, coordinate with cross-functional teams, and provide hypercare post go-live to stabilize the production environment.

Qualifications

• 8+ years hands-on Oracle DBA experience.
• Experience migrating Oracle to AWS or other clouds.
• Knowledge of RAC, Data Guard, GoldenGate.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end migration of Oracle databases to AWS, primarily rehost to EC2.
• Perform discovery, sizing, prerequisites, cutover planning and rollback.
• Configure Oracle environments on AWS EC2 and manage backups.
• Execute RMAN/Data Pump/GoldenGate based migrations.
• Coordinate with application, network, security, and operations teams.
• Provide hypercare and post-go-live support for stability and performance.
