Job summary

Connections Health Solutions in Hartford, CT, is seeking an Operations Project Manager to lead cross-functional healthcare and clinical operations initiatives across our crisis network. You will manage scope, schedule, budget, risk, and change, coordinating with clinical, IT, and vendor teams to deliver projects on time and with quality ROI.

This remote role requires a bachelor’s degree and 5+ years of PM experience in healthcare or similar settings.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Project Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in project coordination, project/program management, operations support, or process improvement, preferably in healthcare or behavioral health.
• Demonstrated experience managing multiple projects with competing deadlines and priorities.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with strong attention to detail in maintaining project documentation, trackers, schedules, and meeting notes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook) and experience with project management tools (Smartsheet, Monday.com).
• Ability to work independently, manage ambiguity, and proactively drive projects to completion, with strong interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate effectively across departments.
• Occasional travel to CHS sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Oversee multiple, concurrent initiatives from planning through implementation coordinating with internal teams and outside vendors to hit milestones.
• Develop comprehensive project plans and workplans that outline objectives, milestones, timelines, and resource needs, scaled to the size and complexity of each initiative.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to make sure everyone's aligned with goals and deliverables.
• Keep initiatives on track so they finish on time and deliver intended impact, quality and ROI.
• Build strong partnerships across clinical, operations, IT, and vendor teams to drive results and remove barriers to execution.
• Ensure work stays compliant with healthcare regulatory, privacy (HIPAA), and organizational standards.
• Provide administrative and coordination support to keep initiatives organized and on track.
• Maintain project documentation, action-item and issue logs, status trackers, meeting notes, and shared project files.
• Schedule meetings, prepare agendas, and follow up on action items and deliverables.
• Develop and maintain standards, templates, SOPs, and reporting tools for the evolving PMO.
• Coordinate allocation of people, budgets, and tools across concurrent initiatives while ensuring realistic commitments.
• Manage scope and change control, documenting change requests and securing approvals for material changes to timeline, cost, or ROI.
• Prepare and deliver status reports, dashboards, and presentations, keeping leadership updated on goals, timelines, risks, and outcomes.
• Proactively spot and address project risks and issues, implementing solutions to stay on schedule and within budget.
