Job summary

The Landline Company is seeking an Operations Analyst / Industrial Engineer to own and optimize multimodal schedules, connect passengers to major airline hubs, and plan operations across a growing network. You will turn data into decisions that improve efficiency and the passenger experience.

In this role you’ll work with drivers, dispatchers, and station managers to design processes, dashboards, and metrics that scale across locations. Remote work is expected with occasional travel to U.S.

Qualifications

  • 2–5 years in transportation operations or related field
  • Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or equivalent hands-on experience
  • Strong data and analytical skills; Excel required; SQL, Python, or BI tools a plus
  • Comfort using AI tools to move quickly across projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with frontline hourly staff
  • High-energy, self-directed approach and enthusiasm for solving operational problems in a fast-moving startup environment
  • Familiarity with fleet-management/telematics platforms is a strong plus
  • Remote work across multiple locations/time zones
  • Six Sigma certification (Green Belt, Black Belt, etc.) is a nice-to-have

Responsibilities

  • Design, build, and maintain schedules across motorcoach and multimodal network, balancing passenger connections, crew utilization, and cost
  • Lead operations planning as we scale into new markets and add stations
  • Analyze operational performance data to identify bottlenecks, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement
  • Design and document processes and standard operating procedures that scale across locations
  • Develop metrics, dashboards, and reporting to track productivity, on-time performance, and asset utilization
  • Support capacity planning, resource allocation, and continuous-improvement initiatives
  • Act as an internal consultant to station teams, dispatch, and leadership, surfacing pain points and translating analysis into practical improvements
