Job summary

The Landline Company is seeking an Operations Analyst / Industrial Engineer to own schedules across our motorcoach and airline network, plan operations across stations, and design data-driven solutions to improve productivity and reliability. You will collaborate with drivers, dispatchers, and station managers to translate analysis into practical process improvements.

Ideal candidates bring 2–5 years in transport/logistics, a relevant engineering degree, strong Excel/SQL/Python skills, and

Qualifications

2–5 years of experience in transportation operations, logistics, aviation, fleet operations, or operations-focused consulting.
Degree in Industrial Engineering, Operations Research, Supply Chain, or related field.
Strong data and analytical skills with Excel; SQL/Python/BI tools are a plus.
Experience with AI tools to accelerate project work.
Excellent communication and ability to work with frontline staff.
High-energy, self-directed, collaborative in a startup environment.
Familiarity with fleet-management/telematics platforms is a plus.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and maintain schedules across multimodal network, balancing connections, crew, and cost.
Lead operations planning as new markets and stations are added.
Analyze performance data to identify bottlenecks and improvement opportunities.
Document scalable processes and SOPs for multiple locations.
Develop dashboards and reporting to track productivity and on-time performance.
