Job summary

Foundation Medicine is seeking an Account Executive II to drive sales for our oncology-focused portfolio across a defined geography. The role is field-based, engaging oncologists, pathologists and other care team members to expand FMI's product and service adoption.

You will develop business and account plans, manage budgets, leverage analytics, and present compelling value propositions while navigating complex hospital and physician networks.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
• 6+ years of direct selling diagnostics or life science in hospital/physician office labs or equivalent complex clinical setting.
• History of proven results and successful performance, including achievement of sales plan.
• Lives within 50 miles of defined workload center of territory / accounts / HCPs.
• Commitment to travel within defined territory.

Responsibilities

• Meet and exceed quarterly and annual sales quotas/objectives for FMI's product portfolio.
• Create and execute business and account plans to meet volume objectives, focusing on growth, new accounts and customer acquisition.
• Engage with key account stakeholders (c-suite, oncologists, pathologists) and coordinate with SAM on shared accounts.
• Pull through National Account initiatives and other customer segment strategies.
• Identify trends through analytics and data reviews to drive sales and long-term opportunities.
• Develop clear, concise communication plans and compelling messages for audiences.
• Negotiate with customers to align with account plans and meet objectives.
• Travel within assigned territory up to 90% of the time.
