Job summary

ABB is seeking an OEM Business Development Manager for Industrial Machinery, remote in the United States. You will drive new business development with OEMs across ABB's Motion Drive Products, focusing on VFDs, micro drives, PLCs and HMIs.

You will map decision-makers, develop growth plans, and expand ABB's share of wallet in material handling, conveying, and processing machinery. The role requires 8+ years of relevant experience, strong OEM sales experience, and US work authorization with 50-75%

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or a related field with 8+ years of relevant experience, or an associate degree with 10+ years of relevant experience.
Proven business development and sales experience in drives, motors, automation, or related industrial solutions.
Demonstrated success hunting for new business, developing account strategies, and growing revenue in competitive OEM markets.
Experience with ABB or comparable portfolios including VFDs, automation solutions, micro drives, PLCs, and HMIs.
Knowledge of OEM business models and machinery applications such as material handling, conveying, and food and beverage processing machinery.
Strong Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office skills; excellent communication and negotiation.
Candidates must have US work authorization and be able to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

Drive new business development and solution sales for ABB's Motion Drive Products portfolio with OEMs in industrial machinery segments.
Develop and execute 1-3 year growth strategies for targeted OEM accounts, map decision-makers, and expand ABB's share of wallet.
Own account planning, pipeline development, forecasting, and CRM execution in Salesforce, coordinating with cross-functional teams to win new business.
Monitor industry trends and customer applications to build differentiated value propositions and support contract negotiations.
