Job summary
ABB is hiring an OEM Business Development Manager for Industrial Machinery to drive new business with OEMs in the industrial machinery market across ABB's Motion Drive Products portfolio. The role emphasizes account planning, growth strategies, and cross-functional collaboration with OEM Application Engineers, Product Management, and Marketing.
The remote US role requires strong OEM sales experience, knowledge of VFDs, micro drives, PLCs, HMIs, and the ability to travel 50-75% to key accounts
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, business or related field required with 8+ years of experience; or an associate degree with 10+ years' experience.
- Proven business development and sales experience in drives, motors, automation, or related industrial solutions.
- Experience with ABB or comparable portfolios including VFDs, automation solutions, micro drives, PLCs, and HMIs.
- Knowledge of OEM business models and machinery applications such as material handling, conveying, and food/beverage processing machinery.
Responsibilities
- Drive new business development and solution sales for ABB's Motion Drive Products portfolio with OEMs in industrial machinery segments.
- Develop and execute 1-3 year growth strategies for targeted OEM accounts and map decision-makers.
- Own account planning, pipeline development, forecasting, and CRM execution in Salesforce; collaborate with cross-functional teams to win new business.
- Monitor industry trends and translate market needs into actionable growth plans.
