Job summary

ABB is hiring an OEM Business Development Manager for Industrial Machinery, remote in the United States. You will drive new business development with OEMs in the industrial machinery market, focusing on ABB's Motion Drive Products portfolio, including drives and automation solutions.

The role requires 50-75% travel to key customer accounts and strong experience in VFDs, micro drives, PLCs, and HMIs. You will own account planning, forecasting, and CRM in Salesforce, partnering across functions to

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or higher in engineering, business, or related field.
• 8+ years of relevant experience or associate degree with 10+ years of experience.
• Proven business development and sales experience in drives, motors, automation, or related industrial solutions.
• Experience with ABB or comparable portfolios including VFDs, automation solutions, micro drives, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Knowledge of OEM business models and machinery applications such as material handling, conveying, and food and beverage processing machinery.
• Strong skills in Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and Microsoft Office, with excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning capabilities.
• Candidates must already have work authorization to work in the US and be able to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business development and solution sales for ABB's Motion Drive Products portfolio with OEMs in industrial machinery segments.
• Develop and execute 1-3 year growth strategies for targeted OEM accounts and expand ABB's share of wallet.
• Own account planning, pipeline development, forecasting, and CRM execution in Salesforce, collaborating with engineering and marketing teams.
• Monitor industry trends and translate market needs into actionable growth plans.
