Job summary

ABB is seeking an OEM Business Development Manager for Industrial Machinery to drive new business with OEMs in the industrial machinery market across ABB's Motion Drive Products portfolio. The role is remote in the United States with 50-75% travel to key accounts.

You will develop 1-3 year growth strategies, map decision-makers, and lead account planning, pipeline development, and CRM in Salesforce. Strong knowledge of VFDs, micro drives, PLCs, HMIs and proven OEM sales success are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, business, or related field with 8+ years of relevant experience (or an associate degree with 10+ years).
• Proven business development and sales experience in drives, motors, automation, or related industrial solutions.
• Experience with ABB or comparable portfolios including VFDs, automation solutions, micro drives, PLCs, and HMIs.
• Knowledge of OEM business models and machinery applications such as material handling, conveying, and food and beverage processing machinery.
• Strong Salesforce, Excel, PowerPoint, and MS Office skills; excellent communication, negotiation, and strategic planning abilities.
• Candidates must be legally authorized to work in the US and able to travel nationally.

Responsibilities

• Drive new business development and solution sales for ABB's Motion Drive Products portfolio with OEMs in industrial machinery segments.
• Develop and execute 1-3 year growth strategies for targeted OEM accounts and map decision-makers.
• Own account planning, pipeline development, forecasting, and Salesforce CRM in collaboration with internal teams.
• Monitor industry trends and translate market needs into actionable growth plans for competitive advantage.
