Job summary

Prime Coalition is seeking a Manager, Accounting to join the Finance & Operations team. You will oversee core accounting workflows, ensure policy compliance, and support grantor, audit, and tax deliverables in a remote U.S. setting.

Responsibilities include general accounting, AP/AR oversight, and audit/tax support. The role requires a strong accounting foundation across multiple systems and a focus on accurate, well-supported financial records.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, taxation, or related field.
• 4–7 years of progressive responsibility in finance, accounting, or tax; or 7–10 years of equivalent experience.
• Proficiency with accounting software(s) (Sage Intacct preferred) and banking platforms.
• Strong foundation in GAAP, GL accounting, journal entries, reconciliations, accruals, and financial reporting.
• Experience with AP/AR, month-end close, and financial recordkeeping.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets and/or Microsoft Excel; data reconciliation.
• Ability to manage recurring processes with strong internal controls.

Responsibilities

• Record and consolidate all financial transactions in accordance with GAAP and IRS regulations.
• Record journal entries for monthly allocations and inter-company transactions.
• Maintain secure file locations for accounting docs and support KPI tracking.
• Oversee accounts payable platforms with proper coding, approvals, and documentation.
• Support tax preparation, annual audit schedules, and Form 990/1042-S processes.
• Assist in keeping audit-ready documentation and ongoing compliance.
