Job summary

Pace Center for Girls is seeking an Accounting Manager in a remote role open to residents of Florida or Georgia. The role leads day-to-day accounting operations, ensures GAAP compliance, and supports financial stewardship of a $50 million annual budget.

You will manage a team, oversee monthly and year-end closes, budgeting, and grant reporting, while collaborating across programs to strengthen financial processes and provide timely information to leaders.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required; CPA preferred.
• 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, including supervisory experience.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles.
• Experience with grants management, restricted funds, and nonprofit reporting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, cash management, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and treasury activities.
• Lead monthly and year-end close processes and review journal entries, account reconciliations, financial statements, and supporting schedules for accuracy and completeness.
• Monitor financial results and departmental budgets, investigate significant variances, and provide financial analysis and reporting to organizational leaders.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for executive leadership and Board committees.
• Oversee banking activities, cash management, electronic payments, wire transfers, and other disbursements in accordance with internal controls.
