Job summary

Accelerate Change is seeking an Accounting Manager to lead full-cycle accounting, with a focus on grant revenue management and payroll interdependencies. The role supports the transition to new accounting systems and maintains strong internal controls.

The successful candidate will work remotely from the U.S., report to the Director of Finance, and collaborate across Finance, People, and Development to ensure accurate financial reporting and audit readiness.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience with full-cycle accounting processes in nonprofit or related sectors.
• Experience with internal audit and process improvement.
• Grant revenue recognition and payroll-accounting reconciliation.
• Attention to detail and strong financial controls mindset.
• Excellent stakeholder communication and collaboration skills.
• Interest in digital media and social change sectors.
• Wamiliarity with ASC 958/606 and donor-restricted funds is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Manage NetSuite transactions for Central Team and Partners and optimize workflows.
• Support internal audit by reviewing accounting docs and GL schedules.
• Identify control gaps and implement corrective action plans.
• Maintain GAAP-compliant accounting methods and nonprofit reporting standards.
• Oversee grant revenue recognition and donor-restricted fund tracking.
• Collaborate with Payroll on multi-entity allocations and reconciliations.
• Prepare for annual audits and coordinate with external auditors.
