Job summary

Global Impact seeks an Accounting Manager to lead day-to-day internal controls, supervise the accounting staff, and ensure accurate reporting to clients and stakeholders. This full-time role requires 8–10 years of nonprofit accounting experience, including donor grant agreements and restricted grant accounting, with knowledge of QuickBooks Online, NetSuite, Bill.com, and Excel.

Remote work is possible, with hybrid options in DC; occasional travel to the Washington, DC headquarters; salary range

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field.
8–10 years of progressive nonprofit accounting experience.
Experience with donor grant agreements and restricted grant accounting.
Knowledge of banking cash management systems and Excel.

Responsibilities

Oversee day-to-day internal controls and operations; lead accounting team.
Review and issue timely client deliverables with analysis.
Manage client cash and investment processes.
Develop annual budget and cash forecasting system for clients.
Manage audit and tax processes and reporting.
Coach accounting staff and ensure high standards of service.
Manage client relationships with stakeholders (legal, insurance, IT, banking committees & board).
Supervise Senior Accountants.
