Job summary

Pace Center for Girls is seeking an Accounting Manager to oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure GAAP-compliant financial reporting for a nonprofit with a ~ $50 million budget. The role reports to the Controller and leads a financial team across nonprofit functions.

The ideal candidate has 5–7 years of progressive accounting experience, nonprofit accounting expertise, and CPA is preferred. Remote work is possible for Florida/Georgia residents, with standard M-F business hours.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance is required; CPA preferred.
• Five to seven years of progressive accounting experience with supervisory or management experience.
• Experience with nonprofit accounting, grants management, and restricted funds.
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting principles.
• Experience with ERP or accounting systems such as Multiview, Sage Intacct, NetSuite, or similar platforms.

Responsibilities

• Oversee accounting operations including general ledger, payables, receivables, cash management, fixed assets, payroll accounting, and treasury activities.
• Lead monthly and year-end close processes and prepare journal entries and reconciliations.
• Monitor budgets and provide financial analysis and reporting to leaders.
• Support annual budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting for executive leadership and Board committees.
• Oversee banking activities and internal controls.
