Job summary

The ProActive Technology Group is seeking a NOC Engineer to manage backups, alerts, and patch remediation for a distributed client fleet. This remote, part-time role requires hands-on experience with Veeam B&R, NinjaOne, and ScreenConnect, and a focus on remediation rather than escalation.

You will work ET business hours with an after-hours rotation, triaging backup jobs, fixing alert conditions, and driving patch compliance. Strong documentation and security practices are essential.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in an MSP or IT ops role.
• Hands-on Veeam B&R: jobs, repositories, backup copy, agents, SureBackup.
• Day-to-day RMM alert remediation with NinjaOne preferred.
• Windows patch troubleshooting: DISM/SFC, WSUS/Windows Update logs.
• Vulnerability remediation from scanner findings with verification.
• Experience with VMware/Hyper-V, storage, and basic networking.

Responsibilities

• Backups: triage failed and warning jobs; perform fixes via NinjaOne/ScreenConnect.
• RMM alert remediation: fix AV/EDR health, disk space, services, offline devices.
• Patching and vulnerabilities: remediate updates and verify fixes; report weekly.
• General: own tickets from alert to close; produce daily/weekly/monthly reports.
