Job summary

Canon USA is seeking a New Business Development Advisor to drive direct and indirect sales, recruit and enable channel partners, and execute go-to-market strategies for incubated solutions. This full-time virtual role requires significant travel and interaction with customers, partners, and events across the United States.

You will own end-to-end sales cycles, translate market insights into product inputs, and collaborate with product, engineering, and program teams to shape roadmaps and GTM

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Communications or relevant field, plus 7 years of related experience.
• Approximately 50% or more travel required to customer sites, partner locations, and industry events.
• Strong grounding in consultative/solution sales, channel partner ecosystem development, and pipeline management; familiarity with CRM and sales pipeline management practices.
• Proficiency in using Salesforce.com is required.
• Occasional evening or weekend work to support trade shows and events; not on fixed on-call schedule.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect target accounts to validate market fit and generate early demand.
• Own the direct selling process from discovery through negotiation and contract execution.
• Recruit and enable channel partners and resellers; onboard and train referral partners and systems integrators.
• Develop partner models including referral fees, revenue sharing, and co-marketing programs.
• Gather customer and market insights to inform product development and roadmap planning.
• Represent Canon at inventory and partner events to build pipeline and visibility.
• Monitor competitive activity, emerging channels, and event opportunities relevant to the solutions portfolio.
