Job summary

Canon U.S.A., Inc. is seeking a New Business Development Advisor. This role drives direct and indirect sales, recruits channel partners, and leads go-to-market execution for incubated solutions.

It requires end-to-end sales ownership, partner enablement, and market insight gathering. The position is full-time and virtual; occasional travel and events may be required. Salary range provided with a typical travel schedule and a strong focus on collaboration across product, engineering, and program

Qualifications

• 7+ years of related experience in consultative/solution sales and channel development.
• CRM and sales pipeline management experience.
• Proficiency with Salesforce.com and CRM tools.
• Willingness to travel ~50% to client sites and events.
• Occasional evenings/weekends for trade shows and events.

Responsibilities

• Identify and prospect target accounts to validate market fit and generate early demand.
• Own the direct selling process from discovery through negotiation and contract execution.
• Recruit and enable channel partners and resellers; onboard referral partners.
• Develop partner models including referrals, revenue share, and co-marketing.
• Gather customer and market insights to inform product development and roadmap.
• Conduct discovery conversations and on-site visits; translate needs into actionable input.
• Represent Canon at inventory, partner events to build pipeline and visibility.
• Monitor competitive activity and emerging channels relevant to solutions.
• Source and manage external SME consultants to accelerate go-to-market readiness.
• Support transition of solutions from incubation to go-to-market and handover.
