Job summary

Ryder System, Inc. in the United States seeks a National Rental Customer Development Manager to retain and grow national rental accounts, focusing on profitability and quota attainment. The role is 100% sales and can be based remotely, with preference for candidates in the West or Central regions.

The position includes base pay of $70,000/year plus uncapped commission, travel 60–75%, mileage reimbursement, phone stipend, and full benefits with 401(k) and stock discounts.

Qualifications

• Five (5) years or more of experience in sales.
• Demonstrated consecutive sales excellence (quota achievement) in prior roles.
• Prior experience as Rental Manager, Rental Account Manager (RAM) or Business Development Manager (BDM) on the lease side preferred.

Responsibilities

• Manages a book of approximately 100 top national rental accounts.
• Grows wallet share and revenue within assigned accounts.
• Develops sales plans and a communication plan for each account.
• Schedules and leads customer meetings and builds relationships at all levels.
• Attends customer events and trade shows for applicable industries.
• Performs annual business reviews with assigned customers.
• Analyzes profitability and understands competition and risks.
• Partners with RAMs to help them grow.
